FREE TOOL / UNIT ECONOMICS
Final expense inbound call ROI calculator
Use your own call price, volume, application rate, placement rate, retention rate, and average commission to model final expense inbound-call economics. The calculator estimates outcomes from your assumptions; it does not predict or guarantee actual sales, placement, persistency, commission, or profit.
Model your final expense call economics
Illustrative arithmetic based entirely on the values you enter. Outputs may include fractional expected outcomes and are not promises or forecasts. Actual results vary with caller eligibility, agent availability and skill, application completion, underwriting, placement, premium, commission terms, chargebacks, persistency, operating costs, campaign supply, and other factors.
How the calculator works
- Call spendPrice per billable call × number of billable calls.
- Expected applicationsBillable calls × application rate.
- Expected placed policiesExpected applications × placement rate.
- Expected retained policiesExpected placed policies × retention rate at your chosen checkpoint.
- Estimated net after call spendExpected placed policies × average commission, minus call spend. This is not net business profit because it excludes labor, technology, overhead, taxes, and chargebacks.
Use your own observed rates
Start with results from your own campaigns whenever possible. Keep campaign, agent, states, schedule, carrier mix, and measurement definitions consistent. A small sample can swing sharply, so update the model as more calls mature through application, issue, placement, and retention checkpoints.
What the calculator does not include
The tool does not automatically subtract agent labor, dialer or CRM expense, licensing, platform fees, taxes, lead-management costs, refunds, chargebacks, or the time value of delayed commission. It also does not model differences between carriers, products, states, underwriting classes, or premium amounts.
For a complete acquisition-cost analysis, add every cost required to create and retain the policy, then compare that figure with commission actually received and retained.

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate final expense call ROI?
Subtract total call spend and other acquisition costs from commission actually retained, then divide the result by total acquisition cost. This calculator shows an illustrative amount after call spend only, so add labor, overhead, taxes, and chargebacks separately.
What application rate should I enter?
Use your own consistently measured application rate when available. Do not treat a vendor claim or a short test as a guaranteed future rate.
Why does the calculator show fractional policies?
The tool models expected values across a set of calls. Fractional results represent an average expectation from the assumptions, not a literal partial policy.
Does the result include chargebacks?
No. Enter commission carefully and account for chargebacks, persistency, labor, overhead, and other expenses outside the displayed call-spend calculation.
