COMPARISON / INBOUND VS. TRANSFER
Inbound calls vs. live transfers
A customer-initiated inbound call begins when the consumer independently dials after responding to marketing and completing the qualification path. A live transfer typically begins with another representative or call center that speaks with the consumer and then hands the active call to an agent.*
*The advertising, questionnaire, and IVR pre-qualification process applies only to Premium Pre-Qualified Final Expense calls. Social Media Final Expense and Premium TV Final Expense calls follow separate campaign criteria.
Side-by-side comparison*
| Factor | Customer-initiated inbound call | Live transfer |
|---|---|---|
| Call origin | The consumer dials the campaign number | A third party commonly initiates or handles the first conversation |
| Before the agent | Ad, questionnaire, and IVR | Screener or call-center conversation |
| Connection | Routing platform connects an available agent | Representative transfers the active call |
| Consumer expectation | Calling about final expense coverage | Depends on the transfer source and handoff |
| Inboundsify™ product | Yes | No |

Why call origin matters*
The way a conversation begins shapes the opening moments of the sale. With an inbound campaign, the consumer takes repeated affirmative steps: responding to an ad, answering screening questions, completing IVR prompts, and placing the call. With a live transfer, the receiving agent depends more heavily on the upstream representative’s script, disclosure, qualification, and handoff.
Neither method guarantees intent or a completed sale. The meaningful question is whether the delivery process matches what was represented to the consumer and to the receiving agent.

What agents should verify
Before buying any call product, confirm who initiated the first call, whether another person spoke with the consumer, what disclosures were used, how qualification works, whether the connection is exclusive, when billing begins, and how disputes are evaluated. Inboundsify™ provides customer-initiated calls and does not market them as live transfers.

Frequently asked questions
Are Inboundsify™ calls transfers?
No. The consumer responds to marketing, completes the qualification path, and independently places the call before routing to an available agent.
Does anyone speak to the caller before the agent?
For Premium Pre-Qualified and Premium TV calls, the Inboundsify™ path uses a questionnaire and automated IVR rather than a representative who conducts a conversation and transfers the call.
Can an unanswered inbound call route elsewhere?
Yes. If an agent is unavailable or does not answer, the routing platform may seek another available eligible agent.
